Buddha’s Dharma or the teachings of the Buddha, one of the world’s greatest spiritual traditions show us a way to inner peace and wisdom aiming at full liberation. Developed by Siddhartha Gautama who became known as the Buddha in or about the 6th century BCE this philosophy is rather a way to live life with balance, compassion, and mindfulness than just religion.

“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” — Buddha

The Four Noble Truths are a diagnostic tool and a prescription for how to overcome the suffering part of life. The specific truth of the pain nature (Dukkha) shows that life itself as we continue day to day is incomplete. The second truth highlights the reason/culprit for this suffering, namely craving (Tanha). What the third truth (Nirodha) does is give us confidence, by suggesting liberation can be reached. The fourth truth finally produces the Eightfold Path as it guides men with this liberation.

It is based on the Eightfold Path, which puts that together as a philosophy making up this entire solution to ethical development with release from attachment and delusions at its core. The Eightfold Path, which consists of the Right View (Samma Ditthi), Right Intention…
